With Mark Hehir joining TSMIC in 2015 as CEO and Curator their vision was turned into reality with the launch of Amilla Fushi (opened 21st of December 2014) and Finolhu (opened June 17th 2016).

MICHAEL C. FLYNN
Chairman & Founder / Shareholder – TSMIC
Michael is a seasoned hotel and travel industry professional and has held senior corporate positions with several iconic global hospitality companies. He’s worked for over 20 years in the Asia Pacific region, for strong brands like Accor and Hilton notably as Senior Vice President Marketing and Sales – Accor Asia Pacific and Vice President Sales and Marketing – Hilton International. He also held the position of Senior Vice President and Managing Director for RCI Asia Pacific. Michael has been involved in strategic advisory work in the Maldives and is currently co-founder and Chairman of The Small Maldives Island Co established in 2012. The company’s main focus is on resort management in the Maldives for Coastline Hotels and Resorts.
Chief Executive Officer & Curator / Shareholder – TSMIC
Born and raised in Australia Mark Hehir comes with over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in his home country as well as in Europe, Asia and the Indian Ocean. Hehir joins The Small Maldives Island Co after four successful years at the One & Only Reethi Rah, Maldives where he held the position of General Manager implementing various effective and innovative philosophies. Mark was also part of the opening team at Huvafen Fushi by Per Aquum as well as Maldives Hilton Rangali (now Conrad Maldives) after working for various Anantara properties in Asia. Mark firmly believes that one should always be ready to get their hands dirty to do the job, he inspires his staff with not only words but with action and believes that with hard work and determination anyone can achieve their goals.

Group Financial Controller
Born and raised in Sri Lanka. Primal is an accomplished and result-driven, dynamic Chartered Accountant with broad-based exposure in Accounting, Auditing, Financial Management & Controls , ERP Systems, designing of business process for system implementation, Credit Management and Corporate & Strategic Management. Over 23 years post qualifying experience in senior managerial positions in finance.
HR Strategic Consultant
An Australian experienced HR professional with nearly 30 years of experience having held Executive positions with Global and Independent Hotel Companies in Australia, Asia Pacific and the Maldives. A pro-active HR professional with extensive Hotel and Resort experience including Pre-openings / Rebranding / Take overs and closures.
Revenue Strategic Consultant
An Australian expert for Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing and Hotel Distribution across Asia Pacific, Indian Ocean, Middle East and Africa with 15 years experience. Her expertise includes the technical aspects of customising Revenue Management and Hotel Distribution systems, as well as the organisational & cultural set up of Revenue Management within an organisation. Heidi has a deep conviction that understanding & applying the purpose and identity of a person / department / organisation builds and sustains successful companies, its services and financial targets.
Director of Communications
Born and brought up in New Delhi, India, Brinda is very passionate about wellness and believes in living each day as a new day. She started her career in India as a Graphic Designer and later moved on to Marketing. In 2006, she went to Dubai to start the next chapter of her career in hospitality industry and has been passionate about this industry and her work since then. During her time in Dubai, she worked with local and international hotel brands including Emaar Hospitality (The Address Hotels + Resorts), InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Marriott International. She worked her way from one hotel to cluster positions, with the best exposure covering aspects like designing, marketing, e-commerce, Public Relations and social media, with active participation in strategies and contributing to the vision of the company.
Group Director of International Sales & Distribution
A Maldivian national with over 14 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Distribution, Revenue Management and Strategic Business Development roles. Known by almost everyone in the wider circle of Maldivian tourism and a friend of all the marketers in the industry, Nabeel is often tipped in the industry as the best sales & marketing professional in the country. At TSMIC, Nabeel is spearheading the sales and distribution division for its Resorts under the guidance of CEO & Curator – TSMIC.
SCOTT LE ROI
Director of Sales, Europe
Born and raised in Manchester UK, Scott developed a love for hospitality working as a bellboy in Colorado, USA at 19 years of age. He completed a Business Degree in the UK and then ran Hotel Sales Teams in London, Cairo and Dubai over the last 20 years. In 2014, he oversaw US$ 100M at One&Only Reethi Rah whilst securing Sales Personality of the year with Elegant Resorts Tour Operator.
Director of Revenue
Born and raised in Sri Lanka with over 15 years of experience in the field of revenue and reservations, including 10 years with AccorHotels (Novotel & Ibis) in UAE. His wealth of knowledge and business leadership in the fields of revenue and reservations, combined with international experience is invaluable for TSMIC.
Strategic Advisor – Sales
Claudia Majunke decided to found Majunke International Sales after more than 25 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. She started her career in 1984 with an apprenticeship in a travel agency, followed by some years with a tour operator based in Stuttgart which included many stays abroad. In 1994 Claudia successfully opened an office for representing A&K before joining SAA. In 1999 she joined Kerzner International as head of Sales for DACH & NL & Russia. In January 2007 she was promoted to Vice President International Sales for One&Only Resorts. Majunke International Sales was founded in 2010.
Executive Office Manager
Born and raised in the Philippines, Jemma is a passionate hospitality professional with over 15 years of hands-on administrative experience in pre-opening and opening resorts across multiple major hotel brands including Le Meridien, One&Only, Jumeirah and Constance. She is managing the Executive Office and provides overall support to the CEO. She plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of TSMIC, as well as company’s future and new phase of growth. Jemma holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration major in Management from University of the East, a private university in Manila, Philippines.
Raised and educated from the capital of the Philippines, Manila. Imparted by her origin, Nikolai has always been very passionate in giving the best service and utmost hospitality. She graduated from University of Santo Tomas with a degree of Bachelor of Science major in Hotel and Restaurant Management. She has been in the hospitality industry for 7 years focusing on Sales & Marketing role, and now responsible for managing the company’s most innovative and most exciting loyalty programme, Maldives Aficionado.

Desiree gained her first experience in sales and marketing during her tourism studies. 2013 she spent two semesters abroad in San Francisco and Mallorca, where her enthusiasm for tourism and travel grew. She loves to discover new cultures and countries and is happy to combine her passion with her job. Since June 2017 Desiree is working for Majunke International Sales.

Born and raised in India, TJ’s (Tanushree’) USP is People. Her passion is engaging with people from all walks of life and learning everything possible about them. Being in the travel industry helps with the people to people connect. The ever-evolving trends in the Hospitality industry is the biggest motivation for her and helps bring out the best in her. Tanushree comes with more than 11 years of experience in the Hospitality and Service industry and her area of expertise is Sales and Marketing. She has worked with various Tourism boards, Luxury hotels such as the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and Sun International Hotels & Resorts. She started her career with the Banking sector and realised her true calling was in Hospitality when she joined Resorts World Sentosa as a Pre-opening team for the Indian market. She has always aspired to achieve way more than her expectations and has succeeded in doing the same.
Rushdhan was born and brought up in Addu, Maldives. His passion is playing with numbers and is an expert in inventory management and what drives him is the intricacies of the revenue and inventory management. He comes with an experience of over 7 years in Hospitality with global brands like Coco Collection, Jumeirah group and Anantara properties. His love for revenue and Inventory management started in the early days of the field, when he was 18 years old. Even then, it intrigued him how all hotel processes and commercial decisions interlink through revenue and Inventory management. His philosophy is life is to “Live Bold and Bloom”.

Born and raised in Mauritius. Jean-Noel oversees the day-to-day operations of the intimate, 67-villa resort. He has an impressive over 30 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, boasting an extensive background in hotel leadership and management. As a Resort Manager, he plays a fundamental role in the resort’s continued growth and success in the luxury market.
Resort Manager – Finolhu Resort
An Australian national with exceptional profession bridging over 30 years. Marc is a seasoned hotelier with varied experience in Australia, the United Kingdom and most recently in a world renowned brand, Per Aquum property in the Maldives. Hails from South Africa with extensive experience and skills in Spa. She develops impressive arrays of spa and wellness offerings that will drive inspiration for the Resorts guests to lead a healthier lifestyle and at the same time, offers a unique spa experience. Prior to joining TSMIC, Tamara served as the Director of Spa with Lily Beach Resort & Spa in the Maldives. She has an extensive experience in both resort and spa industry for over 13 years throughout the Maldives and her native South Africa.
